People tweeted wonderfully stupid questions to Edward Snowden's live webcast
Snowden appearing at SXSW via webcast from Russia earlier today.
NSA WHISTLEBLOWER EDWARD Snowden made a (virtual) appearance at US festival SXSW today, speaking to a crowd of about 3,500 people via webcast from his hideout in Russia.
His interview was focused on surveillance and online privacy, with attendees and viewers around the world encouraged to tweet their questions to him using the hashtag #asksnowden.
Naturally, people used the hashtag to take the mick, and we do love them for it.
It’s extremely disappointing that Snowden didn’t get around to answering these. Too busy talking about the government spying on us. PRIORITISE next time, Ed.
